Rural Ohio overrepresented on state school board, urban areas lacking

Rural Ohioans account for about half the 17 votes on the state school board, while urban districts, which account for 25 percent of Ohio children, have only two votes. Jeffrey Mims Jr. is the only African-American, and he is quitting at the end of the year. Noted elsewhere in this project is a description of the nine board committees, eight of which are headed by white men, even though the board is 9-8 men.
